  How We Organise The Choir

  •  Choir members find the section of the choir that they feel best suits their voices.

  •  Our Guitarists provide the backing for most of the music we perform.

  •  Our Musical Team work on the arrangements and direction of songs chosen by the choir members.

  •  Choir members each have input into the style and repertoire of music that the choir perform.

  •  A Management Committee of choir members work together on future plans for the choir.

  •  Borehamwood Community Choir is a fully inclusive community project, always welcoming new members.

  •  Choir members take responsibility for various tasks to ensure that rehearsals run smoothly.

 Rehearsals

Borehamwood Community Choir rehearsals are for 2 hours weekly in term time including a short break for refreshments.

Our Musical Team direct the choir and provide backing instrumentation.

Rehearsals are a collaborative exercise with the entire choir providing ideas and inspiration.

Upcoming performances are the driving force behind our rehearsals as well as trying new material.

 Performances

Borehamwood Community Choir are available to perform at local events and special occasions.

We can usually arrange in advance to perform songs that suit your event requirements.

 Choir Management

The Management Committee meet regularly to oversee the running of the choir and to make decisions on behalf of the choir members.

All of our Musical Team are committed individuals who have brought us together to share our love of music.

Colin, Martin, Steve and Dave have formed a team to collaborate on the musical direction of the Borehamwood Community Choir.

Colin, Martin and Dave are experienced guitarists who add a great rhythmic accompaniment to this vibrant choir with their lively playing. Steve has been running another choir for 4 years and has recently also picked up his guitar again after leaving it gathering dust for 10 years.

Together, they bring an enthusiastic atmosphere to rehearsals and they have all the skills and knowledge to enable the Borehamwood Community Choir to progress.

David is the latest member of the music team who brings a wealth of experience to the team having played with numerous bands throughout his career.
